Have a smaller than average lawn? You need a compact mower that is easier to navigate and maneuver. The Lawnmaster MEB1016M, 10 Amp, 15″ Electric Mulching Mower allows you to do just that with its 15 inch cutting deck and 10 Amp motor. The unit comes with a large 10.5 gallon grass collection bag attached to its back end and all you have to do is plug it in, choose a height and start mowing. Even the handle collapses completely for easier storage and transportation. Everything about this mower screams portability so if you happen to be the kind of parent who believes in kids lending a hand in household chores, this is the mower to hand them over every Sunday.

In-depth Review of the Lawnmaster MEB1016M
Ease Of Use
First and foremost, assembly is a breeze. Attaching the blades and the handle with the collection bag onto the main unit takes less than 15 minutes thanks to the clear directions in the accompanying instruction manual. From the first time you press the start button, this mower kicks into gear ready to mow on any terrain.
The handle height can be adjusted although it isn’t designed for tall folks, but thankfully the deck height is easier to adjust and feel satisfied with. Single lever down on the main unit helps deal with this and the large wheels actually help in getting down close to the ground. Uneven terrain, thick grass growth and uneven patches won’t pose any problems with the Lawnmaster MEB1016M electric lawn mower.
As for the collection bag, it sits half inside the mower main unit and catches clippings rather well. With over 10 gallon of space, it really does handle an entire mowing session without the need to empty it even once. The only thing you need to be alert of is the cord which can be easily channeled away from the front of the mower by running it over the handle and out back.
Because of the narrower deck and slightly less powered motor, it won’t eat through small roots and other such debris on the ground. Be careful when treading near trees or plants and the edges. Otherwise, it tends to do well even with larger tougher grass variants.
Simple, effective and plenty of options. This walk behind mower has a single lever that depresses or elevates all the wheels simultaneously so you won’t have to worry about the cutting height. You can indeed use the lowest setting, which in many mowers tends to scrape off the entire grass cover rather than just mowing.
10 Amp may not be enough for some and I feel it tends to increase the number of passes in dense regions. However, compared to a 15 inch gas mower, it does pack a lot more power and performance. Best of all, the motor is lightweight and makes maneuverability a breeze.
Nothing much to maintain with this mower. The blades will eventually dull and need replacement. Other than that make sure to use an oven non-stick spray on the blades once in a while and scrape the dirt clean off the deck so as to maintain the sharpness of the blades.
At the price the Lawnmaster push mower retails at, you will find other viable options, but this is certainly an affordable compact mower for those who don’t want a large heavy machine. Hardly any maintenance costs and thankfully no gasoline costs to worry about either.
- Good maneuverability for small lawns
- Well balanced corded mower
- Reasonable priced
- Slightly less powered motor
- No mulch or side-discharge functions
The Lawnmaster mower is well constructed with an equally well thought out collection bin and mulching mechanism. The MEB1016M looks great, drives well and does not put any additional pressure on the user. It is an affordable, well-balanced, corded electric mower.
